This attractively restored stone farmhouse is located in a secluded setting near the small medieval village of San Donato in Poggio – in the heart of the Chianti region. Close to both Siena and Florence (approx. 25 minutes drive), as well as to San Gimignano and other interesting places to discover in the Chianti district, it is an excellent base for excursions in the area. San Donato has a good gourmet food shop and bakery, restaurants, cafes, a pharmacy and a post-office. The house is approx. 15-20 minute walk (2 km) from town.

Description: 
Half a kilometer of well-maintained, unpaved road passes through woods to the automatic gate of the 30-acre, fully fenced estate.

The farmhouse measures more than 400 sq.mts. (approx. 4300 sq.ft) and is laid out on 3 levels.

The ground level consists of:

Living/dining room ( table for 10, with high ceiling and working fireplace, access to loggia)

The property is tastefully furnished with Tuscan antiques and new sofas and chairs. There are wood-beam ceilings throughout, and most rooms have terracotta floors.

Dishwasher, oven, miscrowave, washing machine, dryer, satellite TV, internet connection, printer/scanner/copier, window screen. Air conditioning in all bedrooms & most other rooms.

Positive aspects: 
Easy and accessible house (including swimming pool), secluded setting yet walking distance to nearby town and winery; comfortable, uncluttered interiors; plenty of outdoor space.

Negative aspects: 
At this moment, I can’t think of a single one!

“A charming hideaway offering all the pleasures of Tuscan country life yet within walking distance of a small town.”

Included: 
WEEKLY RENTAL :Local telephone, internet connection, utilities, house keeping 2 hours per day (Monday to Friday), mid week linen change, final cleaning.
