Location:
Galileo put his observatory in this lovely residential neighbourhood, high above Florence and behind Piazziale Michelangelo. Pian dei Giullari is a tiny hamlet on one of the many hills that surround the city of Florence, on the south side of the river It is home to Omero, a well-known restaurant, cafè and small grocery store, which was the favourite local restaurant of Julia Child. It is approx. 10 minutes by car and an hour by foot from the centre of town. Limited bus service is available.

On the 1st floor (24 steps), a portion of a villa, it is approx. 112 sq.mt. (approx. 1205 sq. ft.) plus approx. 17 sq.mt. (approx. 183 sq.ft.) on 2nd floor, and consists of:

A mix of modern and traditional, with terracotta tiled floors in the living and dining rooms and entry, wood ceiling in the living room. There are built in shelves in the living and dining rooms. Tiled floor and walls in the kitchen and bathrooms. Parquet floors and large wardrobes in the bedrooms. The composite stone kitchen bench with stainless steel sinks is ample with many windows giving a view of Florence and the countryside.
AMENITIES:
Refrigerator, freezer, 4 gas burner stove, oven, internet connection, dishwasher, electric kettle, air conditioning, working fireplace, shared washing machine and dryer, parking, shared garden, shared pool. Kitchen ware and linens supplied. Gas heating and utilities not separate from other apartment.
