Bellosguardo is one of the many hills that surround the city of Florence, on the south side of the river. This apartment is located in an ex-convent, at the foot of Bellosguardo, in a lovely park of olive trees and cypresses. Apartment tenants have access to this extensive park. Set on the edge of Florence, it has the advantage of being quiet and peaceful, yet within a 20 minute walk of the centre of town. Grocery shopping and one of Florence`s most pleasant trattorias are just a 5 minute walk away. There is easy access to the A1 freeway and the highway towards Siena and the Chianti countryside.

Description: 
The apartment is located on the ground floor and consists of:

Entry
Living/dining room (table for 6-8)
Kitchen (with dishwasher)
Guest bedroom (small double bed 130cms)
Loft bedroom (with 1 double or 2 twin beds)
Bathroom (with tub, 5 steps up from the living room)
Powder room (on loft)

FURNISHINGS
The apartment is spacious with a rustic feel. There are tall windows giving lots of light. The furnishings are a mixture of antique and modern, with plaster statues, paintings, antique pottery and other works of art attesting to the apartment`s past as an artist`s studio.

AMENTIIES
Washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, internet connection, satellite TV, telephone, parking place, shared garden.  Bed and bath linens and kitchenware supplied.  Autonomous heating.

Positive aspects: 
Location, garden, walks, off street parking, quiet, sunny light, not isolated, municipal buses close by.

Negative aspects: 
The bathroom has a sunken tub that may be difficult to access for some. The loft sleeping area has little privacy. May be difficult to heat with very high ceilings. 

Our personal opinion: 
"A most unusual and interesting apartment at the doorstep to Florence and yet in beautiful, countryside surroundings."
