Piazza Tommaseo is the main square in the hill town of Settignano.  Located on the edge of Florence, it has the advantage of being quiet and peaceful, yet within a fifteen-minute car ride from the centre of town. The bus service is handy and reliable, and there is a bus stop in this square.  The small village of Settignano is famous for being the town of Gabriele D’Annunzio. There are general shops, a pharmacy, outdoor cafes and a wonderful restaurant/pizzeria called “la Capponcina,” which is also the name of the Poet’s home, now a museum.

The recently renewed, partially furnished “Tommaseo“ independent house is about 20 meters from Piazza Tommaseo, measures approx. 200 square meters (approx. 2,150 sq. ft.), with 3 floors, and consists of:

FURNISHINGS
Modern furnishings and wooden cabinetry in the kitchen.  The floors of the covered patio and ground and 1st floors are terracotta tiles, and the 2nd floor has hardwood floors.  The stairs between floors and to the loft are hardwood.  The bathroom with tub has marble walls and floor; the other two bathrooms are tiled.  The terracotta tiled patio is surrounded by a hedge and the garden, with flowers and plants, looks over the countryside.  Access to the house and grounds is through 2 electrically operated gates.

AMENITIES
Washing machine, dishwasher, oven, stove with 4 gas burners and a barbecue, fireplace, autonomous gas heating, wifi internet connection, iron, automatic garden watering system with timer.  Kitchenware and linens are supplied.  Parking.
