Location:
Set on the east hills of Florence, short drive to the small town of Fornello where some basic services can be found, approx 10 min drive to the bigger town of Molin del Piano, and approx 30 min drive to down town Florence.
Description:
On hill top position this portion of a bigger farm house, free standing on three sides, is set on two levels for a total of approx. 150 sq. mt (1500 sq. ft.), plus a terrace and surrounded by approx. 6000 sq. mt (60.000 sq. ft.) of garden and land. On the ground floor we have a first independent apartment made of an entrance, a living dining room with kitchenette, a double bedroom and a bathroom; the upper floor (20 steps up, with an external staircase) is made also into an independent apartment made of a living dining room with open kitchen a laundry, a bathroom (bathtub) and a double bedroom. From the living room going up 12 steps we have a loft level with a study, a single bedroom and a bathroom (shower). the house has cotto tile and parquet floors, wooden beam ceilings and autonomous heating system. The garden and land are all fenced with olive trees (100) automatic gate entrance and car parking for 4 cars, plus a covered garage.
Positive aspects:
hill top position south facing, natural light, easy use of the out door.
Negative aspects:
there is a neighbor on the other side of the house, this could be a positive not to be too isolated; there isn`t an internal stair case to join the two levels but it could easily be added.
Our personal opinion:
an easy and low maintenance country home, close to Florence and services with great country views.
